Yes! Samantha Trips are popular and often fill within a week or two. Sometimes they even fill in a matter of days! Registrations are on a first-come, first-pay basis. We recommend registering early to avoid disappointment.

Yes, we keep waitlists for every trip and are usually able to get a few people off the waitlist. Waitlists are free to join and therefore always worth it! Use the trip-specific page to join the waitlist.

Yes! A Samantha Trips team member personally accompanies each group to ensure a first-rate experience. The tour director name and biography are included on every tour brochure.

Each Samantha Trip comes with a series of pre-trip seminars about the travel destination–all optional, of course! On location, each Samantha Trip includes hand-picked local guides and personal care & guiding from a Samantha Trips team member.

Yes! Samantha Trips is known for its thorough pre-tour preparation. We will share everything you need to know—packing lists, using money in the country’s destination, health and safety, insurance plans, phone plans, etc.

It varies by trip, but tours are usually capped at 27 travelers so your Samantha Tour Leader can give personal attention to each traveler.

Your Samantha Tour Leader can pair you upon request, as long as there is another traveler who matches your preferences. Your tour leader will always give you an opportunity to speak with a prospective roommate before finalizing.

We strive to design trips with a customizable level of physical activity. Every Samantha Trip includes a certain amount of walking, sometimes on uneven surfaces and sometimes on an incline. Participants are always welcome to opt out of program activities and we work hard to create alternatives for travelers with mobility issues. Samantha Travelers have ranged in age from 18 to 87! Most Samantha Trips feature a healthy number of retirees and then a spread all the way down the age gamut.
